Amazing!! Things have
been so busy that I have not had time to post many pictures! I am going to post several events and try and
tie them together! We placed our duck
eggs in the incubator on March 14th.
What an exciting day. See below.
You can feel the excitement in the room.
Next we had our great friend from the Clemson Extension Agency come
and share with us about what is going on inside our eggs. At the end she candled our eggs. Out of 14 eggs, we have 12 developing. We got to see our developing ducklings
moving, the air space and veins inside the egg.
What a great experience!!
Can you tell the difference in the two eggs???
We have our first duckling!!!
Yes, it is early. We were not
expecting any until Thursday of this week. We knew he was working hard to come
out, but I did not expect him to come 5 minutes after the children left to go
home. I am sure we will have more to see
tomorrow!
Ask your child how many
days does a duck egg need to be incubated for it to hatch.
It is going to be an exciting week!! Parents, please come on by and visit. We would love to have you!!
